No one can ever capture an entire city in a photo album, but we can at least try to freeze moments in time through our photos, through our eyes, through the way we experience a place, a district, a neighborhood.
I’ve photographed the centre of Athens countless times, yet each visit feels new. The city always holds surprises, transformations, and contrasts; it constantly challenges any photographer.
This is a small journey through a tiny section of central Athens. Through my photographs, I try to uncover hidden corners and glimpses of daily life – buildings, streets, street art, and moments that tell the city’s ever-changing story.
In this short collection, I invite you to walk with me through some of the central neighborhoods and landmarks: Victoria Square, Patission Street, the Polytechnic, Exarchia, the University, Syntagma, and Omonia.
